Mike Gill
Director of Accounting
Mike is passionate about the world of dollars and cents, but knows life is too precious to take numbers too seriously. He assists FMS in aligning our financial objectives with our business strategy; to that end, he forecasts, budgets, plans, and helps guide us in meeting our corporate growth and profitability goals. Get to know Mike and you’ll see he loves a good joke and great music—both of which he studied at a young age, wondering what made people laugh and what made the music good. He observed that, much like accounting, there was a structure and order—in essence, a math formula—behind every successful piece of work. He applies those same principles to his own craft, whether it’s writing financial reports or making us laugh (just for sheets and giggles) at the morning meeting.

What's your favorite advertising slogan?
“Just Do It” - I began running cross country and track in high school and remember the message becoming my mantra during tough practices, as in, no excuses, just do it.
What is your most treasured possession?
My dad’s 1953 St Louis Cardinals baseball cards. My grandfather passed well before I was born so I feel a connection to him knowing he bought them for my dad.
What has been your greatest work achievement?
Mentoring coworkers and watching them become successful. Numerous people encouraged and molded me into who I am today. I’d like to think I pass along that sentiment to others and help them grow.
